Time: 15 minutes.
Masala is definitely not alien to more of us, but do you know what it actually mean? Masala is an Indian word that carries the meaning “mixture of spices”. However, of course, not just a random mixture of spices, but a mixture of various spices at specific proportions.
This recipe is delicious and ridiculously easy. Just pop in all the spices onto your chicken, fry it and you get your dish! All under 15 minutes! I told myself that I am not gonna buy Chicken Masala outside anymore since mine is better and much cheaper!
- 300 g chicken fillet
- 1 tsp ginger paste
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 1 tbs tomato ketchup
- 1 tsp ground coriander
- 1 tsp turmeric
- 1 tsp cumin
- 1 tsp garam masala
- 1/2 tsp chilli powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 tbs yogurt
1. We are using chicken breast in this recipe. Cut the chicken breast into fillet. The thickness should be around 1 – 1.5 cm.
2. Mix all the spices, yogurt, ginger and garlic paste. You will get a bright yellow mixture as follows. Coat the chicken in the marinate for at least an hour.
3. Heat up a flat pen and add in about 2 tbs of oil. Put in your marinated chicken and lightly fry them for 7 minutes on both sides.
4. Serve with some rice and cucumbers. There goes your simple and delicious chicken masala! So good that you would not want to eat out anymore!
